Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is a safe, effective, and precise way to fade unwanted ink. Whether you are preparing for a cover-up or want to restore your skin to a blank canvas, our Cosjet ND:YAG laser targets pigment particles, breaking them down into smaller fragments that your body can naturally metabolise over time.

How It Works
The Cosjet laser delivers short pulses of high-intensity light to the tattooed area, shattering the ink and breaking it into much smaller particles. Tattoos ink particles are normally too dense for the body to metabolise, hence making them permanent. This controlled action of the laser signals your body to activate its natural repair and immune response which signals to your white blood cells to head over to the controlled injury (your tattoo).

Once the pigment is shattered and the white blood cells are recruited to the area, these cells work to engulf and remove the tiny pigment particles through your lymphatic system. Some pigment is removed immediately, while other particles are cleared gradually over days to weeks. This is why multiple sessions are needed to achieve full fading.

The mild redness, swelling, or frosting that can appear after treatment is a normal part of this immune activation. Your skin’s natural response is what allows the ink to fade safely while protecting surrounding tissue.

What to Expect During Treatment
Your session will start with a consultation and skin assessment. Here we will discuss your goals and determine wether Laser Tattoo Removal is right for you. You will fill in some forms, we will have a chat and also preform test shots. Whilst you may be a candidate on paper, the truest way for us to know is by testing the laser on your skin. No treatment will be preformed without a consultation.

During treatment, you may feel a mild snapping sensation or warmth as the laser passes over your skin. Each persons pain tolerance is different and the location, ink density and other factors come into play when it comes to pain levels however most people liken it the feeling of a hot rubber band flick. The procedure is quick and precise, with most sessions only lasting minutes depending on the size of the tattoo.

Immediately after treatment, mild redness, swelling, or frosting is normal and usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. You may bruising or itching over the coming days.

Aftercare and Recovery

  • Keep the treated area clean and dry

  • Ice every hour for ten minutes for the rest of the day, or until there is no heat in the skin to the touch in the next hour cycle.

Expected Results
Most tattoos require multiple sessions spaced at a minimum, 8 weeks apart to allow your body to process and clear the pigment. Results are cumulative, and each session typically lightens the tattoo further. While complete removal is possible for many tattoos, some older or more complex tattoos may leave a slight shadow. We will discuss expectation management with you.

Cosmetic Tattoo Removal

Cosmetic tattoo removal provides a gentle and precise way to fade or completely remove eyebrow tattoos. Technology and science is the same for normal tattoo removal (as seen over the page) however applied slightly differently through settings to target cosmetic ink. Process is still preformed safely and gradually, allowing your skin to return to its natural tone and texture.

This always begins with a thorough consultation and test patches to determine suitability, expected outcomes, and session requirements.

Perfect for

  • Fading old or uneven brow tattoos

  • Preparing for a new cosmetic tattoo

  • Achieving a more natural brow appearance

Benefits

  • Gentle and precise for delicate brow skin

  • Gradual, controlled fading for natural results

  • Minimal downtime

How It Works
The Cosjet laser targets pigment in the eyebrow tattoo, fragmenting the ink into smaller particles that your white blood cells can remove over time. In some cases, dark cosmetic pigment can shift to red or brown as it breaks down. When this occurs, the laser settings are adjusted to safely target the new colour in subsequent sessions to ensure complete fading.

Mild redness, swelling or frosting is normal immediately after treatment and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. Multiple sessions are typically required, spaced several weeks apart, to achieve optimal results.

What to Expect
Your first appointment includes a detailed consultation to assess pigment type, colour, and depth. During treatment, the Cosjet laser gently targets the ink, fragmenting it for your body to naturally clear. Mild redness or frosting is normal and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours.

A series of treatments is usually required for best results and are spaced several weeks apart. However it is not uncommon for brows to have instant results.
